Original publisher's brown cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine. 4 3/4" x 7 1/4." 100 pages, complete. Inscribed by author in pencil on a front flyleaf between the front free endpaper and title page: "For Squire, with regards of Author." A small pencil note near the author's inscription also names the addressee by the name of Squire. "Squire" handwritten in black ink in margin of title page, not affecting text. Pages are very clean and intact. Covers are clean and intact except for slight wear to corners and head and tail of spine and a water ring on front cover. Binding is tight. A Very Good copy. A collection of religious songs and quoted Scripture from the Old Testament including several songs from the Book of Psalm. Rabbi Ben Tomi is the pen name of Thomas Poultney, Sr. (1826-1887). The Poultney family came from England and were among the first settlers in what is now Baltimore, Maryland.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover
