Top and bottom edges of the cover appear to be cut but this may be original. A Very Good Copy. Famous Fantastic Mysteries was a science fiction and fantasy pulp magazine edited by Mary Gnaedinger. The first issue appeared in 1939. Its popularity quickly led to the publication of a companion magazine, Fantastic Novels. The last issue of Famous Fantastic Mysteries was published in 1953. The April 1942 issue. This is one of the issues in which Famous Fantastic Mysteries and Fantastic Novels were combined.
