This idioscyncratic memoir of an Orange Free State cattle farmer is in general fair condition. The illustrated cloth cover has wear and is much marked. The print on the front cover of the title and illustration is dark and bold. There is discolouration over both front and back covers. There is wear to the corners. The spine is discoloured, has wear to the head and foot and has a library marking at the foot. The inside front cover has an ex-libris plate. The frontispage has a cancelled library stamp. The front and end papers have handling and storage marks. From thereon, with odd exception, the pages are in good, clean, sturdy condition. All pages are complete and illustrations are clean. fk.
