"The Abbey Restaurant | Atlanta, Georgia | Saturday, September 9, 1989" Obriant (Atlanta), Starr (Colimbia, SC) and Summer (Nashville) were the most important reviewers of Southern Literature during the closing decades of the 20th century and wrote literally hundreds of reviews supporting both emerging as well as established Souther writers. This very scarce Rubin "A" item, one of obviously only four copies, is a truly heart-felt appreciation of the book review editot/author relationship, by one of the deans who went on to found Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill.
