Collection of sixteen original black-and-white photographs, three of which show President Jimmy Carter. Various sizes: six photos measure 8" x 10," three measure 7" x 14," and seven are 11" x 14." Photographs are virtually pristine and intact. A few have slight age toning at the edges and almost imperceptible wrinkling and surface wear. Fine copies. President Carter visited Tacoma on September 23, 1980 for a three-hour campaign stop. Three of these photos show President Carter, two in which he is giving a speech, one showing him standing at the door of Air Force One at McChord Air Force Base. The other photographs show the president's motorcade, crowds lining the street, and political rallies. Among the groups of people are "WEA Teachers" and the "Tacoma Youth Symphony Ensemble." Two of the photos are attributed to Russ Cormack, Tacoma News Tribune photographer. The 8" x 10" photos have "Kellman 9-80" written on the back in black pen. The 7" x 14" photos and five of the 11" x 14" photos are dated "9-23-80" and have initials (possibly the photographer's) in black pen.. Photographic Image. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine.
