The great salt lake is referred to as Pearl Shell Lake. Mackenzie’s and Hearne’s discoveries are noted. Map shows highly detailed examples of Indian settlements and their accounts of their daily living. It also includes their reports on their descriptions of lakes and mountains in relation to their travels. The map highlights mountains and low ridges as well as the North American coastline.
