San Francisco Call; H. J. Luttig : Original Typed Business Memo Acknowledging Receipt - San Francisco Call, San Francisco, 1886

Original business memo typed in purple ink on light beige paper with header printed in black ink at top. Also includes a signature in pencil from the San Francisco Call's Circulation Manager, "K. [T.?] Boardman." Datelined October 17, 1907 in San Francisco, California. 8 1/2" x 5 1/2." Billhead is very clean and intact overall except for light age toning, a few vertical and diagonal fold lines, slight wrinkling, and a paper stub tipped in at right edge on back. A Very Good copy. An original typed business memo from K. [T.?] Boardman of the San Francisco Call H. J. Luttig [name mistyped as "Lutting"]. The letter is brief and reads, "Dear Sir:-- This is to acknowledge receipt of your remittance for the subscription of the Call for three months for C. Windell, above address, for which we thank you. Yours truly, K. T. Boardman, Circulation Manager." The printed header reads, "San Francisco Call; John D. Spreckels, Proprietor; Chas. W. Hornick, General Manager; San Francisco, Cal." The San Francisco Call was a newspaper published between 1856 and 1965. The newspaper had several name changes and was part of a few mergers over the years. Its last iteration, the News-Call Bulletin, ceased publication in 1965 when it was bought out by the San Francisco Examiner. American industrialist John D. Spreckels (1853-1926) was one of the San Francisco Call's owners.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
