The letter returned to him by the Post Office due to the wrong address of Mr. John L. Waldron of Garden City New York who Heflin in this brief letter reveals his bitterness succinctly as writes about Congress giving him a "raw deal on his political contest. The vote was not open the law and the evidence, it was under the lash of Alfred Smith and Raskob".
