The inscription may refer to Margaret Shaw, a possible relative. There are two ink numbers, 51 and 12 also present on this page. It has light foxing and age related marks within. The top of the book's spine has a small tear but the book is otherwise sound. The dust jacket has superficial tears and crease marks, and there are small chips out of the front and back panels.
