bound in half vellum and marbled boards. with raised bands and gilt to the spine. the binding appears to be from about 1891 when the book was presented to Arthur Giraud Browning by what appears to be Charles Hopper? the book has Browning's bookplate under the front board and there is a gift card dated 1891 tipped in and also a presentation inscription. the boards are worn and marked but not excessively so. internally the book is in exceedingly good condition for it's age. there are age related marks as one would expect but the binding is excellent and this book would make a handsome addition to any library..
