Illustrated with 5 copperplates including a fine frontis. depicting an observatory on a hill at night. Woodcuts to the text. A very crisp text block of an early childrens science book. Morocco label present but safely loosely enclosed within the text block. The bookplate of Esther Acklom with a gift inscription to her at the head of the reverse of the frontis. Given by The Rev. Ingram 1797. Esther Acklom of Wiseton Hall married the Viscount Althorp who became the third Earl Spencer.. Book Condition: V.g.. Binding: Hardback
