Original business letter typed in black ink on beige paper. Letter on C. F. T. Company stationery. Signature of "J. B. Quigley," Pacific Coast Agent of the C. F. T. Company in black ink at bottom. Small black-and-white illustration of a rail car at top. Datelined July 3, 1896 in Sacramento, California. 8 1/2" x 5 1/2." One page, complete. Letter is very clean and intact but has light to moderate browning, a few pinholes toward the left side on front, two vertical fold lines, and a small chip in upper-right corner (affects a small part of printed text which appeared to have been the form number). A Very Good copy. An original business letter from J. B. Quigley of the C. F. T. Company to Pinkham & McKevitt of Vacaville, California. The printed header reads, in part, "The C. F. T. Company. A Special Service in the Transportation of Perishable Fruits." The printed header also lists the General Office address as "904 the Rookery" and offices in Sacramento and Los Angeles. Quigley writes, "Gentlemen; Herewith in duplicate our original invoice #9067, for carI3957 shipped to Boston. Please endorse original and return by first mail retaining the duplicate. Very truly yours, J. B. Quigley, Pacific Coast Agent." Please note: the aforementioned invoice is not included.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
