Printed as a brochure on beige paper. No date, circa 1911-1913. 5" x 7." Four pages, complete. One leaf folded in half and printed on all sides. Pages are very clean and intact overall. A few foxing spots on the pages. The following is an excerpt from the ad: "Frank Hichborn wrote his 'Story of the California Legislature of 1909,' at a time when the Southern Pacific political machine controlled the State. This book shows conditions in the Legislature under machine domination. 'The Story of the California Legislature of 1911' was written two years later, after the machine's hold had been broken. The 1911 Story shows a Legislature, independent of outside control, acting upon reforms long labored for but which had been blocked by machine domination."
