This special edition of The New San Francisco Magazine covers The Great 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and the aftermath. The main article provides a summary of the natural disaster that hit the city on April 18, 1906 and the subsequent fires that erupted. Included are numerous photographs of San Francisco before and after the earthquake and fires. Small black and white maps of the city and other cities to be hit by similar disasters are also shown.
