Original publisher's green cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine. 5 3/4" x 8." 530 pages, complete. Black-and-white illustrations, complete. Two additional pages in the front and ten additional pages in the back of advertisements for other books. Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Binding is slightly loose but still strong and holding. Covers have slight rubbing to front and back and slight wear along the edges including the head and tail of spine. Gilt lettering is slightly faded. A Very Good copy. Anthony Trollope (1815-1882) was an English writer. He was a prolific and popular author who wrote on a number of subjects including issues about society, gender, and politics. Notably, Trollope was one of the few English writers of the Victorian era to write favorably about Ireland at the time. Framley Parsonage is the fourth book in Trollope's series, the Chronicles of Barsetshire, which is about the lives of the clergy and gentry. This novel is about the vicar, Mark Robarts, and the other residents of Framley village in Barsetshire. Framley Parsonage first appeared as a serial in Cornhill Magazine in 1860 and was first published in book form in 1861.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover
