R. 8351, passed in the House on April 12, 1916: "... the United States of America hereby accepts title to the lands mentioned in the deed of gift or conveyance now in possession of the President of the United States of America, together with all the buildings and appurtenances thereon, especially the log cabin in which Abraham Lincoln was born and the memorial hall enclosing the same ....".
