On offer is a fascinating original manuscript diary handwritten by a Chinese man in the 1960s providing a personal intimate look at his experiences during the peak of Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution. The writer recorded his observations while working in the local knitting factory and also comments on the state of political affairs at the time. Nearly every entry of the diary includes excerpts from Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung that are written in red ink. Particularly unique the author reveals his personal life with two women who both worked in the knitting factory, named Zhan Tong Xiang, and Sun Gui Ting.
