First Edition. An important source for the history of the Transkeian Territories, this volume consists of transcripts of the collection of papers in the Willowvale Library. The collection is 172 documents, all in typescript on large single-sided folio sheets. The publication of these transcripts was funded by H. McLaren. Probably fewer than 50 copies would have been prepared for private circulation only: this is the first we have seen in 30 years of trading.
