The books span 1917 to 1955 containing a very detailed day to day record of Mr. Westmoreland's life from the age of 25. It is a facinating read. Mr. Westmoreland was a lumberjack, inventor, mechanic, bible studies teacher and business owner. His story is the story of the northwest (Washington State) where a persons success depended on hard work and thrift. "Fixing Elder's drag saw engine at noon." "Fine day.
