The cover is worn about all extremities and corners. The gilt decorations on the front cover are bright. This book has been much owned and used. There are repair attempts inside the front cover. The pages are much handled and some are grubby (but still wonderfully clear). A childish hand has produced occasional additional illustration! Yet, this is an utterly charming book of engaging stories based on African folklore. The pages are welcoming, clear, comfortable and may be read with complete enjoyment and contentment. fk.
