John Milton (1608-1674) was an English poet most famous for "Paradise Lost" (1665); Thomas Gray (1716-17771) was an English poet famous for his "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard" (1751); James Beattie (1735-1803) a Scottish poet famous for his "Minstrel" (1771); and Edward Young (1683-1765) an English poet, leader of the 'Graveyard Poets' whose most famous work was "The Universal Passion" (1725-8).
