Original novel featuring the seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy and his companion Ace.A print run of only 23,000 (this due in part to a warehouse fire just before distribution) and now out of print,a scarce copy,particularly in as high a grade as this.The rarest title to find. UK,publisher/printer's original,pre-release,Ian Burgess illustrated,colour,paperback cover,loose galley proof.FINE.Loose galley proof artwork wraps,approx 9" wide by 7" tall; with negligible wear - no nicks,tears or creases present,and small,narrow,upright,oblong perforations to left-hand edge,presumably where it would have been laid into a spiral ring-bound,sales representative's promo order book.Verso of loose galley proof's cover are the publisher's/ printer's promotional information and instructions,issued 1/2/88,for publication date 18/8/88. Interestingly,although subsequently published in both HB and p/b with identical cover artwork, purple neon logo and outline decal Number 130, this proof has the outline decal Number 115 to upper wrap and to spine/backstrip!! When the TARDIS rematerialises inside a rocket the Doctor and Jamie are alarmed by the presence of a hostile Servo-Robot.They discover that the rocket is drifting in the orbit of a giant space station - the Wheel in Space.Once inside this magnificent space ship they are bewildered by its complexity and sheer size.The technicians and programmers are highly trained,but who are they working for?
